Position Purpose:
The purpose of this posting is to create a pool of talented Elementary teachers to be reviewed as potential candidates for full time Elementary school positions during the 2024-2025 school year. Elementary school teachers work under the general supervision of their school principal performing the essential performance responsibilities listed below.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
The primary function of a CREC teacher is the planning for and effective delivery of instruction and assessment of student learning, in alignment with the Danielson Framework, with the incorporation of the CREC Core Values: Expect Excellence, Demand Equity, Act with Courage, Embrace Collaboration. In addition, a CREC teacher:
Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for elementary school students, aligned to the Common Core State Standards, translates lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
Performs duties and tasks as assigned by the building principal or designee.
Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
