The Experience :
What You’ll Be Doing :
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern in Product Development, you will provide engineering support on various Hunter Controller projects at different stages of the new-product-development cycle, as well as sustaining support on mature product lines. This will include contributing to the mechanical design of enclosures used for electronics packaging. You will also work closely with Electrical Engineering to define mechanical constraints for new PCB layouts. You will participate in team design reviews and collaborate to develop solutions to current problem states, and in the first article sample qualification process to validate designs and manufacturing processes. You will gain experience working with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and production teams. Utilizing 3D CAD, you will produce designs and participate in hands-on problem solving to analyze manufacturing challenges. You will utilize engineering documentation control best practices to execute engineering change orders, releasing their changes to production parts, directly affecting production of finished goods for customers.

Physical Demands :
Ability to sit for extended periods of time to use the computer, to perform paperwork activities, to attend meetings, etc.
Intermittent walking to gain access to areas within the facility. Ability to climb stairs to gain access to the upper-level work area. Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities. Visual acuity sufficient to use a computer and to read and complete written documents. Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in person. Ability to bend, lift and carry books, files and office supplies and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.

Office setting with temperature controls.
