[job_card.job_description]May occasionally work 12 : 00 PM - 12 : 30 AM to fill in as needed Work every third weekend Minimum 5 years experience working in ER department required (firm requirement) Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital preferred Must be licensed as Registered Nurse in State of Nebraska or compact state Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be issued through American Heart Association) Experience with blood draws preferred as RN may need to draw blood in trauma situations Dress code : Navy blue scrubs required Care for pediatric to geriatric patient population Most common diagnoses include abdominal pain, nausea, chest pain, car accidents, slip and falls, and farm accidents Transport critical patients to larger medical centers as facility does not have an ICU Orientation held every Wednesday consisting of three days of classroom orientation and one shift with preceptor Must have reliable transportation as Alliance, NE does not have Uber or Lyft services Referral bonus

This healthcare facility features a newer emergency department built in 2016 with modern amenities including one triage room, five patient rooms, one OBGYN exam room, and two trauma bays. The facility handles approximately 5,000 visits annually and serves as a critical access hospital providing essential emergency services to the community. The emergency department is equipped to handle a wide range of medical situations from routine care to trauma cases, with protocols in place to transfer critical patients to larger medical centers when intensive care is required.
