The UPS Center NYS Licensed Notary Public Associates are responsible for providing NYS Notarial Services to a growing customer base of regular and new customers. The centers NP Associates also deliver world-class customer service while receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and operating point-of-sale devices. The NP Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry. The ideal candidate is a New York State Notary Public (REQUIREMENT BEFORE APPLYING) has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.RESPONSIBILITIES Notarizes documents and copies for our customers on a daily basis both walk in and via appointment.Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiriesContinuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadershipTakes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutionsTakes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trendsOperates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach othersMaintains a clean, organized, and safe working environmentPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS NYS Notary License REQUIREMENTStrong computer and internet skills, including POS, Modern POS SystemsOutstanding phone skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and mathPrompt, reliable, and responsibleAble to lift 40+ poundsBENEFITS NYS Notary Public Associates receive hourly Pay-Rate plus 25% Commission for every Notary they provide to UPS Store customers.
