This position is eligible for a $7500 Sign On Bonus!!

Operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner to obtain filmed images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Positions patients of all age groups for procedures, assists in sedations and prepares non-magnetic contrast media, operates scanner to visualize pathologies. Select appropriate scanning parameters to optimize images obtained and recorded.

• Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as acquired through completion of an approved school of radiologic technology.
• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or ARRT.
• Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
• Current Wisconsin state license as a Registered Radiographer is strongly preferred.
• Must pass MRI sub specialty boards within 24 months of hire.
• Approximately two years or more of radiology related experience preferred to gain familiarity with MRI procedures, techniques and methods as well as hospital policies and procedures.
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and parents who may be under physical and / or emotional stress.
• Analytical skills necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging techniques and methods and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when operating equipment and manipulating and reproducing images.
• Must be able to walk, stand for long periods as well as lift and position patients weighing up to 150 pounds.
• Ability to sit for up to 70% of work time.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

12 hour day shift working 0600-1830
