Role description :

Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Mining Geotechnical Engineer, with strong written and verbal skills, to join our established and growing multi-national Mining Engineering Team. In this role, you will provide technical support for mining-related projects across the United States (US), Canada, Chile, and other global locations while helping to support business development initiatives. This position can report to any of our U.S. offices and offers flexibility through remote or hybrid work arrangements.

As a Mining Geotechnical Engineer, you will sit within the Mining Engineering Team, contributing to innovative technical solutions and high-quality engineering designs. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Arcadis' Resilience GBA (Global Business Area), focusing on sustainable mining solutions that drive environmental and operational improvements.

Role accountabilities :

• Working as a key participant in our Mining Sector Team, providing technical leadership and contributing to critical projects.
• Applying geotechnical engineering principles to develop effective solutions for surface mining projects, including tailings facilities, open pits, and mine reclamation efforts.
• Performing geotechnical engineering reviews and providing strategic input on large-scale, complex projects across the US and internationally.
• Mentoring and developing mid-level and junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Supporting business development by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities with existing and new clients.
• Acting as or becoming the Engineer of Record on appropriate projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.

This role provides a dynamic mix of feasibility studies, design, construction quality assurance, and client engagement, providing opportunities for professional growth and leadership within the mining sector. Additionally, this position may involve up to 25% travel to client sites and meetings, both within North America. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $68,187- $129,385.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
