Responsibilities :

  • OS Installation & Management : Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems, including the upgrade from RHEL different linux flavors
  • Application Installation & Configuration : Deploy and configure various applications critical to our video operations.
  • Database Installation & Support : Assist in the installation and ongoing maintenance of database systems.
  • VM Management : Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines within the Nebula environment .
  • Automation & Orchestration : Utilize Ansible playbooks to automate routine tasks, application deployments, and system configurations.
  • Monitoring & Alerting : Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Troubleshooting & Support : Provide timely and effective troubleshooting and support for system and application-related incidents.
  • Security Hardening : Implement and maintain security best practices on all systems.
  • Performance Optimization : Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure optimal efficiency.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, with a strong focus on Linux environments (RHEL experience is essential, Rocky Linux experience is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably Nebula or other OpenStack-based platforms.
  • Solid understanding of automation principles and experience with Ansible for configuration management and orchestration.
  • Familiarity with database systems (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and basic database administration tasks.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) are desirable.
