About the Role

The Company is seeking a Tax Managing Director with a focus on State and Local Taxation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert written tax advice to clients, evaluating and recommending strategies to minimize tax burdens, and staying abreast of potential tax risks and changes in tax policy. This role also involves significant business development activities, including marketing, networking, and maintaining key client relationships. The Tax Managing Director will be a critical part of the leadership team, providing guidance on complex tax issues and leading the office's tax services initiatives.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a Master's degree or Juris Doctorate preferred. A minimum of 10 years' of SALT experience is required, along with a CPA certification or other relevant certification. The role demands excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage a team of tax professionals and ensure the delivery of high-quality tax services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in tax compliance, consulting, and controversy, and be adept at identifying and capitalizing on cross-selling opportunities. Advanced knowledge of tax standards and the ability to interact with professionals at all levels is essential.
