[job_card.job_description]Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Dentistry and Licensed to practice in the State of Missouri Must have current CPR / CE certificates Some experience in a community health center is desirable but not mandatory Maintain a professional attitude towards patients in and out of the Health Center Good oral and verbal communication skills Good organizational and self-motivational skills Must be willing to practice to the full extent of your license Must be willing to participate in community health fairs sponsored by MHD Must be willing to work with the pediatric population. Must be willing to work extended hours and some Saturdays periodically Must be able to be credentialed by insurance plans Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 11 paid holidays per year. CARESTLHEALTH is seeking a Full-time Dentist. The Dentist may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons. Other duties may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- After a thorough evaluation of health history, x-rays, and oral examination / cancer screen / periodontal evaluation discuss with the patients the findings of the dental examination and the treatment that can be taken care of in our health center
- Create a treatment plan and complete treatment in a timely manner; referring out any services the health center can't render
- Render treatment to our pediatric and pregnant population in the window of insurance coverage
- Give chronic disease patients referrals to PCP for medical clearance for treatment; record and track
- Practice to the full extent of your license including extractions(simple and some surgical), restorative (amalgams and composites), root canals (anterior and premolars), crowns, bridges, partials, and dentures
