Director of Social Services Job Summary:
Willow Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a premier provider of long-term care services, is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Director of Social Services to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the social services department and ensuring that our residents receive exceptional support and care. Director of Social Services Responsibilities:
Oversee the social services department, ensuring that all social workers and activities staff are providing high-quality care and support to residents
Develop, implement, and evaluate social services programs that meet the unique needs of each resident
Collaborate with other departments, including nursing, rehabilitation, and therapy, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care
Recruit, train, and supervise social workers, activities staff, and volunteers to ensure a skilled and compassionate team
Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, vendors, and referral sources to ensure access to resources and services for residents
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards, including HIPAA and OMB
Provide emotional support, counseling, and crisis intervention as needed to residents and their families
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committee meetings to drive continuous improvement and excellence in care
Director of Social Services Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum 1 year of experience in a social services leadership role
Strong understanding of social services principles, practices, and regulations
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
