Administrative Assistant

IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant at our Raleigh or Charlotte, NC or Norfolk, VA offices. As an Administrative Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support for assigned engineering teams and completing day-to-day administrative tasks. Additionally, this position will demonstrate proficiency at using and reviewing IMEG standard document templates. This position will be expected to work within the team's monetary budget as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.

Some key duties and responsibilities include :

  • Follow and promote IMEG Standards;
  • Assist assigned team and other teams as needed;
  • Maintain confidentiality of project / client, corporate, and employee matters;
  • Work with engineering specifications for all applicable disciplines;
  • Attend and actively contribute to group meetings;
  • Phone answering as needed;
  • Arrange meetings / travel as needed for team / office;
  • Handle incoming / outgoing mail and shipping as needed.

Key skills and abilities needed for the position are :

  • Ability to multi-task;
  • Ability to work with staff of all levels;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Strong customer service orientation coupled with the ability to exhibit and maintain a positive attitude;
  • Team player but also able to work on own initiative;
  • Self-motivated and flexible.
  • Education and experience requirements are :

  • High School Diploma / GED required;
  • Associate Degree preferred;
  • No experience required, 1 year experience with engineering administration preferred;
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
