About the Role:
The Community Engagement Lead will help expand MME’s reach by building coalitions across Michigan. You’ll connect with LGBTQ2S+ centers, student groups, faith communities, and civic organizations to strengthen support for marriage equality and ensure every community feels represented.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, Pride centers, and advocacy groups.
Help plan and represent MME at Pride events, festivals, and community gatherings.
Coordinate with the Field and Communications teams on outreach strategy.
Work closely with Annie and other organizers to expand MME’s grassroots network.
Ideal Qualifications:
Strong communication and networking skills.
Experience in community organizing, advocacy, or coalition building (preferred but not required).
Commitment to equality, justice, and inclusion for all communities.
