Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A special education teaching opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting located in New Rochelle, NY. This position is designed for the current school year (CSY) and is offered on a contractual basis.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Adapt general education lessons and assist in planning instructional activities that meet the needs of students in the special education program
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to provide a supportive learning environment
• Assess student progress and maintain detailed records as required by the school and regulatory guidelines
• Utilize behavior management techniques and support students social and emotional development
