Job Summary
We are looking for an empathetic and reliable Caregiver to provide support and companionship to seniors in their daily lives. In this role, you will help them with personal hygiene tasks, perform light housekeeping, prepare meals, and remind them to take their prescribed medications. However, your main goal is to keep them company, engage them in conversation, and safely transport them to and from social activities. This is essential to the mental and emotional well-being of the person in your charge and can offer a reprieve to their family members or primary caregivers. This job can be challenging, so applicants with experience caring for older adults or people with developmental disabilities are preferred. Pet Friendly!

Responsibilities

• Provide conversation and personal engagement
• Assist with bathing and other personal hygiene tasks
• Prepare meals
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including changing linens, vacuuming, doing dishes, and taking out trash
• Remind them to take their medications
• Transport them to and from appointments, errands, and social activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Experience with elderly care preferred
• Housekeeping or cooking skills a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Physical stamina necessary to assist the person in your care
• Complete criminal background check and drug screen
• CNA
