About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Cardio - Interventional MD in Louisiana!

We are seeking a board certified Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Louisiana. This opportunity begins on Dec 29, 2025, lasts 8 days, and features a 24-hour unassigned ER call schedule with inpatient consult responsibilities at a trauma center. The ideal candidate will provide expert care for unassigned emergency cases and manage the inpatient census associated with the cardiology specialty.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24-hour unassigned ER call coverage for a trauma center
  • Manage inpatient consults for patients with cardiology needs
  • Ensure continuous coverage for unassigned emergency cases related to cardiology
  • Collaborate with hospital teams to deliver effective specialty care

    • Additional Information

  • Board certification in Cardiology required
  • Must hold a valid Louisiana medical license
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Prior experience in ER call coverage and inpatient consults preferred
