Position Summary :
Perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the DOT Compliance department and / or managers and supervisors to facilitate the efficient operation of the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Assist the DOT Compliance Manager(s) with DOT related tasks, inspections, and reports.
Update and maintain databases (i.e. Viewpoint, eScreen, EHS Insight, Fleet Safety / Telematics System, Samba Safety, etc.)
Retrieve fleet information from DOT and monitor driver and company compliance. Assist with reporting to company / branches.
Coordinate and maintain both electronic and hard copy driver administrative records, such as Driver Qualification Files, Training Records, Employment Investigations, Drug and Alcohol Files, and Motor Vehicle Records.
Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence. Analyze opportunities for reporting improvements or new reports / KPI's.
Follow all safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment. Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain compliance and consistency.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational needs.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience with Department of Transportation / Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration compliance highly preferred
Must be proficient Work management and prioritizing skills.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal expertise.
Advanced knowledge in information gathering and monitoring.
Must have attention to detail and critical thinking competencies.
Must be able to work independently.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Advanced computer skills in Outlook, Word and Excel and skilled use of office equipment.
