Purpose

Create and develop relationships supportive of the Baker Group mission statement with employees, internal and external customers. Additionally, provide opportunities to increase business unit revenues by marketing and cross-selling products and services provided by Baker Group, including but not limited to temperature controls and security systems. Manage projects from design to owner training, maintaining and growing the Customer for Life concept for existing and new customers.

Responsibilities

• Understand building automation systems and offer solutions to customers through engineering and field personnel.
• Develop relationships with existing customers and pursue new opportunities, including cross-selling and cold calling.
• Educate customers on Baker Group capabilities across business units.
• Develop solutions using internal estimating software and review with team members before submission.
• Act as account manager or single point of contact during project execution.
• Assist with scheduling, project documentation, financials, and customer satisfaction.
• Procure subcontracts, manage project financials, and ensure project success.
• Attend meetings, coordinate project scope, safety, and timelines.
• Report daily time and equipment usage accurately.

Minimum Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Construction Science, Management, Engineering preferred.
• Experience in Automation and HVAC systems.
• Experience in estimating and managing automation projects.
• Willingness to travel or relocate.
• Pass drug test and background check.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• Valid drivers license with a good driving record.

Competencies

• Strong communication skills and knowledge of building automation systems.
