Key Responsibilities :
Lead daily onsite operations for large or complex construction projects.
Develop and manage short-interval schedules, sequencing, and look-ahead plans.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, field crews, and onsite personnel.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient job site.
Enforce company and OSHA safety standards at all times.
Conduct site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and regular inspections.
Investigate and document incidents, implementing corrective measures where needed.
Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure full compliance.
Ensure work meets contract specifications, drawings, building codes, and industry standards.
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
Identify potential issues early and resolve them to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Monitor progress daily and update schedules accordingly.
Work with project managers to track milestones, manage changes, and mitigate schedule risks.
Review subcontractor productivity and recommend solutions to improve efficiencies.
Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
Participate in progress meetings and provide accurate updates on project status.
Collaborate closely with the project manager to address technical issues, RFI responses, and change management.
Maintain daily reports, logs, field documentation, and safety records.
Ensure accurate recording of manpower, equipment usage, deliveries, and site activities.
Support closeout activities including punch lists, inspections, and turnover documentation.
Mentor junior superintendents, foremen, and field staff.
Qualifications :
8–15+ years of construction experience, with at least 3–5 years in a superintendent or senior superintendent role.
Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, or multifamily projects (modify as needed).
OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety credentials preferred.
Expert knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, building systems, and industry codes.
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
Proficient with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, Autodesk Build).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Ability to work outdoors, stand / walk for extended periods, climb ladders, and navigate active construction sites.
Availability to work extended hours or weekends depending on project demands.
