MOTOR EQUIPMENT REPAIRMAN

The Department of Public Works seeks applicants interested in the full-time position of Motor Equipment Repairman . Typical duties include repair and maintenance functions on a wide variety of municipal vehicles in a modern, clean and well-lit garage. Prior professional experience as a mechanic is required. Successful query from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Clearing House is required.

Full uniform service provided free of charge plus a $150 annual boot allowance. ASE Certification Stipends : Class 1 - $100 / week; Class 2 - $75 / week; Class 3 - $50 / week. Specialized technical training offered on an ongoing basis. Employees in this classification are eligible for overtime. Shift work may be required. Benefits are available on the first day of employment.

Hourly Range : $33.41 - $40.71 Per Hour
