Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs complex equipment and distribution systems involving work of a varied nature with minimum supervision, resulting in efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities.
Diagnoses production equipment failures – main priority is always keeping production lines running.
Line setups, troubleshooting, repairs, and reassembling of production equipment.
Complete work in mechanical skills areas such as fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, etc.
Complete electrical work such as removing and replacing motors, fuses, and cables; installing conduit; and pulling wire
Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks.
Assists in the installation of new manufacturing equipment
Contribute on the machine and process design for existing production lines and new projects, using continuous improvement concepts to drive more efficient manufacturing processes.
Improve and implement new standard Operating Procedures (SOP), line layout, and plant design.
Assists with maintaining equipment PM log books, ensures tool crib adequately stocked and ensures compliance with CFR 210 / 211 for OTC manufacturing requirements
Assists with routine building maintenance and facilities equipment. Including but not limited to boilers, air handling units, heating and cooling equipment.
Record maintenance data and activities to track proper maintenance of facilities equipment.
Complete forms / setup sheets to memorialize equipment setup processes to create greater consistency and the ability to replicate results utilizing the same machine settings over multiple production campaigns.
Utilize and interpret equipment manuals to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
Generates purchase requisitions for stores and inventory if necessary
Be available for assistance as required although the majority of work is anticipated to occur during normal business hours (this pertains to fire alarm, security system malfunction, etc.).
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
Ensure facility and equipment compliance with all OSHA related regulations and maintain proper records.
High school diploma or GED
The desired candidate will have a minimum of 2 - 5 years prior experience at a manufacturing facility, be familiar with GMP's, and be able to work outside regular hours if necessary (1st shift is 6 AM – 2 PM, 2nd Shift is 2 PM – 10 PM).
Strong troubleshooting skills in areas of mechanical, electrical, pumps, and manufacturing equipment
Must be flexible to accomplish necessary tasks
Able to perform in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Must work well with others and be a team player – our culture is very important!
Want a candidate who is willing to work a swing shift covering parts of First and Second shifts (9AM - 6 PM).
