Pay rate : $19.50 - $19.50 / hour

What you'll be doing as a carpenter :

  • Use various tools to cut and craft wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
  • Employ hand tools such as squares, levels, and chisels, and power tools like sanders, circular saws, nail guns, and welding machines
  • Fasten materials together using nails, screws, staples, and adhesives, and perform a final check to ensure accuracy
  • Use a tape measure on nearly every project to reduce waste and ensure that cut pieces are the correct size
  • Job includes completing tasks for residents in the living facility and helping build / repair items

    • Available shifts :

  • 1st shift (day)
  • 2nd shift (evening)

    • Job requirements :

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
  • 2-5 years of experience in residential or commercial carpentry preferred
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Capable of repeatedly lifting 50 pounds to load and unload wood and other materials, as well as transport tools and materials to and from the jobsite
  • Resume preferred
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, such as screwdrivers, hammers, glue, to complete small carpentry duties
  • Needs to know how to measure and cut various construction materials
  • Background check and drug test required
