Summary
Established in 1984, IEFP has played a significant role in the construction of fire safety systems in some of the Inland Pacific Northwest's most notable facilities including schools, hospitals, shopping malls, community centers, apartment buildings, high rise office buildings, large and small storage facilities, large and small manufacturing facilities, military installations, and more.
Essential Responsibilities
- Cut or drill holes in walls or floors to accommodate the passage of pipes.
- Measure, cut, thread and assemble new pipe, placing the assembled pipe in hangers or other supports.
- Mount brackets and hangers on walls and ceilings to hold pipes, and set sleeves or inserts to provide support for pipes.
- Fit or assist in fitting valves, couplings, or assemblies to tanks, pumps, or systems, using hand tools.
- Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
- Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
- Communication with Designer
- Attend Job Meetings
- Attend Safety Meetings
- Install all material needed to complete a system
- Coordinate on site with MEP
- Understand reading of blueprints
- Understand Specifications on their project
- Maintain proper material on job site
- Loading & Unloading Materials
- Keep Job sites clean & safe
- Be aware of CO dates on projects
- Maintain & Turn in Test Certificates
- Clean and Maintain Company Vehicle
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma - or the equivalent (for example, GED)Valid State Driver's LicenseU.S. citizenship due to the level of access to sensitive information and / or restricted facilitiesStrong knowledge of NFPA regulations and standardsProven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlines.Possess good communication skills; both verbal and written.Must be able to coordinate and work well with others.Must pass a post-offer drug screen test, background, and reference check.WSP Commercial Fitter CardMust be able to pass a post-offer drug screen test, background, and reference check.Working Environment and Physical Demands
