The Pitt Biospecimen Core (PBC) is an institutional resource for collection, processing, and disbursement of biospecimens dedicated to serving the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC Faculty in meeting their research needs.PBC Labs are located at UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Magee-Womens, UPMC Shadyside and UPMC Children’s Hospitals.

The PBC is seeking a full-time Data Base Administrator that would be responsible for supporting multiple moderately complex databases by planning, managing, and maintaining database systems, generating and maintaining reports, and troubleshooting database issues.

Job Summary

Designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs, implements, and maintains moderately complex application software and / or systems. Prepares detailed specifications and recommendations for software, programs, and test procedures.
