Overview

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Network Security Engineer for our premier client in Washington, District of Columbia. This position is Hybrid; Local candidates only.

What You’ll Need

Technical Requirements and Certifications

  • Highly Desired : Certification in network or system administration such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, MCSE, MCSA, or other related certifications.

Education And Experience

  • Experience in the development, configuration, installation, and maintenance of networked systems including local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), telephony systems; and perform routing network configuration management functions.
  • Experience with network standards, protocols, and procedures.
  • Experience in network architecture and topology, including transmission protocols, broadcasting, switching, control, and management.
  • Experience in performing routing networking configuration management functions.
  • Experience in network systems management methods including end-to-end systems performance monitoring.
  • Experience with tools, utilities and appliances to perform network management, analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and mitigation.

    • What You’ll Do

    Job Responsibilities :

  • Plan, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and / or management of networked systems used for transmission of voice, data, and / or video.
  • Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software.
  • Analyze and define network systems requirements.
  • Implement solutions.
  • Plan and track projects and coordinate interagency efforts in networking, infrastructure, security and inter-operability.
  • Enforce agency policies and procedures in network and infrastructure management, auditing, security, disaster recovery, encryption and compliance.
  • Monitor network infrastructure and systems using tools such as Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco FMC, SSH, Microsoft Active Directory Tools and Utilities, Microsoft Intune, Kaseya, Cayosoft, RDP, and managing appliances including IDS / IPS devices, firewalls, VMware vCenter, Windows Servers, DHCP, DNS, and other tools as available or necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
