Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking for a skilled Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting in our organization. This role requires an individual with strong attention to detail who excels in managing month-end close processes, document control, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. Based in Clackamas, Oregon, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to the company's success through meticulous accounting practices.

Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee document control procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Organize and maintain financial records by scanning and compiling relevant documentation.
  • Review and analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and ensure adherence to accounting principles.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and development.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to optimize workflows.

  • Proven experience in financial management and accounting, preferably in a Controller role.
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in document control and electronic record-keeping systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and accounting principles.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to manage and mentor a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
