Duties, Responsibilities & Other

1. Manage larger or more complex projects or a portfolio of projects
2. Successfully manage scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining strong customer relationships
3. Develop and maintain project management plans and other required project management artifacts
4. Lead project teams from project initiation through closeout
5. Follow guidelines, best practices, conventions, techniques, and industry standards for project management
6. Directly engage with and influence customers
7. Lead development of proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFP)
8. Support business development and marketing initiatives by meeting with customers and prospective customers, attending industry events, and giving presentations
9. Mentor project managers and associate project managers
10. Supervise staff, as assigned
11. Provide performance feedback to project staff and supervisors of staff
12. Operate independently

Specialized Experience:

• Experience providing consulting services is strongly preferred
• Experience in transportation, water, and/or state/local government markets is strongly preferred
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
• Experience managing projects using Agile/Scrum framework preferred
• Experience collaborating within industry partnerships with Esri, Trimble, and other geospatial ecosystem partners is preferred
• CSM and/or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner is preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, geography, design, marketing, business, or related field is required. Experience may be substituted for degree.
• Master's Degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, geography, design, marketing, business, or related field is preferred
• Minimum five years of experience in a project management role
• Minimum eight years of professional experience in the areas of business advisory, data & analytics, solutions and/or software engineering, and/or IT infrastructure engineering
• Experience providing consulting services is strongly preferred
• Experience in utilities, facilities, transportation, water, and/or state/local government markets is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience to learn quickly and apply new technologies to solve problems
• Ability to develop and maintain deep knowledge of customers, data, business, and markets
• Project Management Professional is preferred
• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner is preferred
