What the Role Is
The On-Premise Channel Manager will be responsible for the execution of company on premise strategic initiatives for South Florida. This role is critical to advancing Heaven Hill’s on-premise presence in South Florida and will play a key role in supporting the District Manager in executing statewide growth strategies. This individual will execute at the field level in on-premise accounts and will require the ability to evaluate, implement and execute such programs within our brand strategies. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead, direct, train and manage local distributor sales teams.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Manage and engage distributor Area Managers and Sales Consultants daily to ensure distribution objectives, brand policies, and promotional standards are achieved. Maintain a strong presence at distributor offices to ensure consistent communication and focus on Heaven Hill priorities.
- Training distributor sales teams, observing competitive market activity and evaluating distributor execution against our initiatives.
- Support the District Manager in executing statewide initiatives and contributing to the overall Florida on-premise strategy.
- Act as the South Florida On-Premise Consultant, providing strategic support and guidance to the Heaven Hill South Florida Market Manager on key on-premise initiatives and account opportunities.
- Engage with key on-premise accounts within the assigned territory to foster strong partnerships and drive business growth.
- Present and leverage our brands for increased volume and assist distributor in attaining our goals and objectives.
- Be visible at the distributor office, meeting with sales representatives and management to ensure share of mind.
- Identify and align with key local events and sponsorship opportunities that fit brand strategy, ensuring excellence in execution for all national and regional initiatives.
- Act as primary contact for distributor sales teams to ensure they are informed of local and national objectives and programs, while providing support for all sales-related activities.
- Execute engaging product training sessions and brand seminars with on-premise accounts and distributor sales teams to strengthen product knowledge and advocacy.
- Use POS tools and marketing / point-of-sale materials to support brand presence in bars and restaurants.
- Assist accounts with menu and cocktail development to feature Heaven Hill brands and support overall beverage program success, leveraging cocktail features where appropriate.
- Provide National Account Mandate compliance updates as they are required.
- Stay informed of customer and consumer trends.
- Maintain calendar of activities and promotions, ensuring distributor and third-party agencies have successful communications.
- Submit monthly activity reports summarizing accomplishments, market insights, competitive updates, and program execution to the District Manager.
- Provide market and competitive brand updates to the District Manager, including timely and accurate communication of changing field conditions that may affect volumes, as well as staffing changes at distributor and competitors.
- Review and track execution progress with distributor Area Managers.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on program effectiveness, including POS, activation materials, and promotional ROI.
- Special projects such as verifying pricing and or distribution at on-premise accounts.
Who You Are…
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related disciplineMinimum of five (5) years of combined experience in the hospitality industry (hotel, bar, or restaurant) and beverage alcohol sales (supplier or distributor level)Strong understanding of the three-tier system and distributor / supplier dynamicsHighly competent in consultative selling techniques to inspire and guide on-premise partners in elevating their beverage experiences and integrating Heaven Hill brands into their programsProven ability to build relationships with key on-premise accounts, distributor teams, and trade influencersAbility to tailor presentations / proposals to audience business needsAnalytical skills, in particular gathering data from a wide variety of sources, and presenting it in formats suitable for a wide variety of audiencesKnowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services; this includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systemsGood managerial and effective presentation skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsProficient in using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointMust be able to work evenings and occasional weekends as required to support on-premise business activities and events.Valued but not Required Skills and Experience :
