About the Opportunity

Were seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor with a strong background in corporate taxation preferably those who bring Big 4 experience and a passion for public sector challenges. Join our large, dynamic tax team as we support a capital-intensive utility undergoing exciting transformation in the clean energy space.

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring accurate tax treatment of tangible and intangible assets, focusing on tax depreciation and deferred income taxes. You'll become a technical expert in interpreting complex tax laws, managing utility-specific fixed asset systems, and leading a team all while working with big data in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and utilize specialized tax-fixed asset software (expert training provided).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tax data reporting for provisions, returns, budgets, and regulatory filings.
• Provide oversight and technical review of work produced by junior personnel.
• Lead, coach, and develop tax staff while managing daily operational activities.
• Support audits and information requests from tax and regulatory authorities.
• Conduct regulatory flow-through and variance analyses to inform reporting strategies.
• Drive process improvement and manage multiple projects concurrently.
