Job Summary
This role involves delivering effective respiratory care to patients as prescribed by physicians and following departmental policies. You will work independently in both acute and critical care settings, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal treatment. Our team is dedicated to treating patients across all age groups, including infants, children, adults, and the elderly.

Reporting Structure
This position does not involve management responsibilities and will report to a supervisor or manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required, or you must be eligible for licensure in South Carolina or be a senior student nearing graduation.
Certifications Required
Applicants must hold a valid South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license or be eligible for licensure. BLS certification is required, and NBRC credentials must be maintained. Candidates hired before June 2016 may be Certified Respiratory Therapists. Those hired after June 2016 must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam at the Registered Therapist cut score and complete the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation, or employment will be terminated. NRP and PALS certifications are required for those working in the Children's Hospital, especially in the NICU and PICU.
Other Required Skills
The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment is essential. Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills are necessary.
