Job Description : Quality Inspector / Assembler
Shift : 1st (6am - 2 : 30pm)
JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector / Assembler is responsible for performing both vehicle assembly and quality inspection activities to ensure products meet established quality standards specifications and customer expectations. This role plays a key part in identifying defects verifying workmanship and supporting continuous improvement while also contributing directly to production assembly as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections on vehicle assemblies subassemblies and components.
- Inspect parts and assemblies for workmanship accuracy completeness and conformance to specifications.
- Perform assembly tasks including building vehicle parts sub-systems and components.
- Safely use and operate various tools including power tools hoists and production equipment.
- Accurately complete inspection reports checklists and production documentation.
- Read understand and follow work instructions engineering drawings quality standards and procedures.
- Perform duties assigned by Supervisor and / or Group Leader.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations strictly and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift with focus on quality (i.e. within applicable quality standards).
- Participate in continuous improvement process.
- Work overtime as required and mandated by production schedules.
- Maintain regular reliable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push / pull up to 100 lbs.Ability to bend twist turn kneel and squat.Stand and walk for the duration of assigned shift and reach overhead continuously.Use air / power / vibrating tools and do strong pincher gripping.Work safely around moving equipment power tools and industrial vehicles.Repetitive use of upper extremities.It may be necessary to perform any of these functions up to twelve hours a day.Skills & Knowledge :
High School Diploma or GED.Prior quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.Prior mechanical or vehicle assembly experience strongly preferred.Ability to read and interpret basic drawings work instructions and inspection criteria.Basic knowledge of computers.Basic knowledge of power air torque and manual toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Understanding of Mechanical and assembly conceptsKey Skills
