Summit is the busiest Level III Trauma hospital in Tennessee. In this position you will be working in a 35-bed Acute Medical Care / Oncology Unit thatprimarily cares for acute adult with a variety of different medical diagnoses. Our oncology population provides our nurses the opportunity to become chemotherapy certified and provides the opportunity to care for a number of Hospice and Palliative Care patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Acute Medical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

TriStar Summit is a 234-bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services. These include cardiology, oncology, orthopedics / spine, rehabilitation and women’s services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. We are a Primary Stroke Center.
