[job_card.job_description]Develop comprehensive tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize wealth preservation for clients Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and identifying new planning opportunities Provide expert guidance on complex tax issues, including multi-state taxation, international tax matters, and IRS examinations Estate and Trust Planning : Advise clients on wealth transfer strategies, gift tax planning, and charitable giving Collaborate with attorneys and financial advisors to create holistic estate plans that align with clients' goals Oversee the preparation of estate and gift tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance Leadership and Team Management : Contribute to the firm's strategic planning and decision-making processes Participate in recruiting efforts to attract top talent to the firm Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the tax department Technical Expertise and Thought Leadership : Contribute to the firm's thought leadership initiatives through writing articles, presenting at conferences, and conducting client seminars Represent the firm in professional organizations and industry events Collaborate with other practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to clients Health Insurance Mentorship program Hands-on training programs Merit-based opportunities for advancement 401K Referral bonuses Incentive based trips Vacation PTO Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited institution CPA, JD, LLM or MST required Minimum of 10-15 years of Tax Management experience from public account firm Extensive experience with C-Corp Form 1120 tax filing entities and ASC 740 tax provisions Industry knowledge within the Technology / Startup and Emerging Growth sector a plus Demonstrated strategic leadership. We are looking for a seasoned tax professional to assume the role of Tax Partner in our growing practice. This executive role will be tasked with leading and building out our west coast team. This position can be based out of any of our 5 CA locations. (Irvine, Encino, Carlsbad, San Francisco, or San Ramon) Someone with industry knowledge within the Technology / Startup and Emerging Growth sector is a big plus.
What You'll Do :
Client Management and Development :
Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-value clients
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm's client base
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss tax strategies, financial goals, and risk management
- Tax Planning and Compliance :
Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and trusts
Design and implement sophisticated estate and trust plans for high-net-worth individuals and families
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering their professional development
Maintain deep technical knowledge in areas of specialization, including individual tax, pass-through entities, and estates & trusts
