About the Role

The Company is seeking a Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs to serve as its top academic leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing the academic vision of the university, leading the deans, and ensuring that the academic mission is in line with the institution's strategic initiatives. This role requires a deep knowledge of the research, teaching, and public-service missions of large public, research-intensive, land-grant universities, as well as substantial experience in higher education and the ability to foster a diverse and inclusive academic community. The Provost will also be involved in all academic planning and compliance issues, including accreditation and regulatory matters, and will work closely with senior leaders to create a teaching and learning environment that supports the success of all faculty, staff, and students.

Candidates for the Provost and Vice Chancellor position at the company must have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree and a proven track record of scholarship, teaching, and experience that qualifies them for a senior academic leadership role. The role demands a collaborative approach, a commitment to ethical behavior, and the ability to make difficult decisions after consulting with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in academic innovation, growth strategies, and the strategic prioritization of resources. They should also be adept at managing faculty and staff, and be prepared to represent the university on academic issues with both internal and external constituents.
