Quext - Lead Integration Developer (Lubbock)

Work as part of an international team of developers to integrate a suite of web-based SAAS applications hosted in AWS with an ever expanding list of third party systems. Primary tech stack currently consists of Python, MySQL, and PostGresSQL on the Quext side. Third party integrations primarily leverage REST APIs, JSON, SOAP, and GraphQL. Applications will be architected and coded to leverage native AWS services, autoscaling, DevOps, etc where possible, and augmented with third party toolsets where it makes sense. We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team with the intention of migrating the applications from various platforms, languages and frameworks to a single-page app front-end. You will be migrating dozens of data from the backend-sources to the front-end sources, from the internal applications to external applications and vice-versa, via RESTful API calls through HTTP. This initiative requires reliable and speedy- backend systems to respond in milliseconds to requests from many browsers simultaneously using horizontally scaled deployments behind load-balancers. The backend-systems are a mix of local and non-local systems reachable via HTTP / HTTPS and all responses are made in JSON(preferred), XML(preferred) and SOAP.

In addition to the details outlined below, the successful candidate will have an expert-level understanding and experience with Object Oriented Programming, will be self-motivated, have a love for learning and new technology, and able to lead and mentor others. We’re looking for the Developer that loves tech, that is comfortable working alongside other motivated developers, can operate under pressure and is comfortable being a little uncomfortable. The ideal candidate will be a backend application developer who has a knack for problem-solving and critical thinking. We are looking for a strong engineer with experience designing and building REST API’s as the company extending the web infrastructure to integrate with systems using REST API, experience architecting solutions and breaking business requirements down into achievable technical tasks.
