About the Role

IP Pathways is seeking a Senior Systems Implementation Engineer to join ourManaged Services Operations Team.

This team is responsible for implementing, onboarding, and migrating clients intoIP Pathways managed and cloud service platforms including cloud, disasterrecovery, backup, and managed infrastructure offerings. Beyond initialdeployment, the team provides the ongoing operational care and administration ofthese environments, ensuring they remain secure, reliable, and high-performingthrough continuous monitoring, management, and maintenance.

As a senior member of the team, youll play a key role in:

• Lead implementation, onboarding, and migration projects across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Take ownership of the ongoing monitoring, management, and administration of client systems and services.
• Identify opportunities to automate, orchestrate, and optimize operational processes for greater efficiency and reliability.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, helping strengthen team capabilities and client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding and migration of client into IP Pathways AdaptiveCloud Cloud Infrastructure platform.
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions (both third- party and in-house).
• Configure and manage Microsoft environments, including Active Directory, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365.
• Support the onboarding and management of client infrastructure across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Develop and improve automation, orchestration, and monitoring processes to increase operational efficiency.
• Document processes, contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to fellow engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in systems administration or implementation engineering.
• Proficiency in 12 scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365
• Understanding of network fundamentals such as IP addressing, routing, VLANs and DNS
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., VMware, Azure, AWS) and backup/disaster recovery tools (e.g., Acronis, Veeam, Zerto).
• Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote monitoring tools, and managed service delivery environments.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
  

Physical Abilities Required:

• Ability to rack servers, switches, and other datacenter equipment, as needed.
• Ability to work on your feet or at a desk for extended periods of time, as needed.
