About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Cath Lab Tech in Bakersfield, California, 93301!

Job Title : Cath Lab Technologist

Profession : Cath Lab Technologist

Duration : 16 weeks

Shift : 10 or 12-hour days

Hours per Shift : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of current cath lab experience

License : Yes

Certifications : ARRT, BLS, Fluoroscopy

Must-Have :

• Must have current cath lab experience.
• Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation.
• Must be familiar with procedural processes, airway management, and cardiac drips (such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors).
• Experience with balloon pumps is required.

Description :

Cases are done with 2 technologists (1 scrubs and 1 monitors hemodynamics, etc.).

Registered Nurse provides conscious sedation.

There may be a 4th person involved in some cases, depending on the situation.

There is a Lead Technologist responsible for making room assignments.

The facility performs a range of procedures including cardiac / coronary, vascular, peripheral, general interventional radiology, and neuro interventions.

There are 5 suites : 2 suites primarily for coronary cases, 1 suite for peripheral cases, 1 suite for vascular and neuro cases, and 1 suite for electrophysiology cases.

Average cases per day vary from 10 to 22 total.

Technologists rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases once a week.

Weekend call requirement includes 1 weekend per month, running from Friday evening through Monday morning.

Cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment.

Charting system used is Cerner.

This position is within an acute care setting.
