About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Cardiothoracic Surgery NP in New York!

Position Overview :

Manage all aspects of care for CT stepdown patients (pre- and post-op).

Collaborate closely with bedside nursing staff to address clinical questions and respond to emergencies.

Perform procedures including :

Chest tube removal

Arterial line removal

ABG (arterial blood gases)

Epicardial pacing wire removal

Obtain consents for procedures; no ICU or OR coverage beyond this.

Participate in rounds with CT Surgery Fellows.

Coordinate care with CT clinic, emergency department, perioperative areas, and surgical units as needed.

Educate and support nursing staff and act as a liaison with cardiac surgery and medicine teams.

Requirements

Required Qualifications :

Must have recent and relevant Cardiothoracic Surgery experience as an NP

Active New York NP license (no time to license)

Board Certification (ANCC or equivalent)

BCLS & ACLS Certification

COVID & Flu Vaccinations (declinations considered but not guaranteed acceptance)

Proficient in Epic EMR

Ability to work 6 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, three shifts weekly with one weekend shift per month
