Position Overview:

The Pharmacist – PV1 (Primary) / PV2 (Secondary) at Hallandale Pharmacy is responsible for performing prescription verification, accuracy checks, and quality assurance in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role focuses primarily on PV1 functions, with secondary support for PV2 as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.The position requires an energetic, adaptable pharmacist willing to work with medications prescribed for off-label use. The Pharmacist in this role plays a key part in ensuring medication accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across all pharmacy functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform PV1 verification, accuracy checks, and quality assurance.
• Support PV2 tasks as needed to maintain workflow and efficiency.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, compliance, and therapeutic appropriateness.
• Verify prescriptions, ensuring full adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely prescription processing.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with pharmacy standards.
• Comply with all professional and ethical guidelines.
• No dispensing of Schedule II (c2) medications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active Pharmacist license (RPh or PharmD) in good standing.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Open-minded, adaptable, and comfortable with off-label processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude.
