This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about immigration law and committed to providing exceptional legal services. You will carry an active load of deportation and removal defense court cases. Whether your immigration law experience has been as an associate, intern, or law clerk, we encourage you to apply! Responsibilities Representing clients in immigration court proceedings, including removal defense cases. Handling various aspects of litigation, including preparing pleadings, discovery, and briefs, and conducting depositions and trials. Advising clients on their immigration rights, laws, and procedures. Conducting thorough legal research to support client cases. Collaborating with legal assistants and paralegals to prepare case files and legal documents. Keeping up to date with changes in immigration laws and regulations. Providing exceptional customer service by maintaining regular communication with clients and answering their queries promptly. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. A valid license to practice law in your jurisdiction. 1-2 years of immigration law experience. Experience and/or interest in deportation and removal defense law. Knowledge of immigration law and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and understandable manner. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
