RN Bariatrics Program Coordinator Good Samaritan Hospital, San Jose, CA

Salary Estimate : $108,160.00 $149,760.00 per year

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement the bariatric surgery program.
• Collaborate with surgeons and office staff to ensure a smooth progression of patient care throughout the entire surgery process, including patient and family education and resource coordination.
• Provide leadership for collaborative patient management across the entire episode of care.
• Ensure high quality care, provide a clear decision?making framework, and foster a culture of mutual trust, acceptance, recognition, and respect.
• Collaborate with nursing management and the education department to develop and implement staff education.
• Perform daily rounds on bariatric patients to evaluate the appropriateness of treatment plans, nursing interventions, and compliance with clinical pathways, aiming for expected outcomes as defined by the pathways.
• Assist with Center of Excellence applications for ASMBS and other insurance company RFIs for bariatric COE requirements and ongoing renewals.
