Job Description

Join our dynamic production team where you'll play a crucial role in the operation of milling machines used for the dispersal of paint. Work alongside a team of dedicated employees with an average tenure of 10-15 years, ensuring smooth production processes and high-quality output.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate milling machines to disperse paint into drums efficiently.
• Scrape paint from the mill to prevent jams and ensure continuous flow.
• Prepare and move drums using a sit-down forklift.
• Repack filled containers into smaller sizes as required by customers.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the work area during slow periods.
• Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
• Tend to mills safely and efficiently to produce high-quality ink by following all operational instructions.
• Process batches of ink according to specified settings and quality control requirements.
• Adhere to all quality and packaging requirements, ensuring proper labeling.
• Maintain cleanliness of the mill and work area, performing preventive maintenance as needed.

Work Environment

Our production floor is clean and organized, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Work in a hot environment due to ink manufacturing processes, with mandatory steel-toed shoes and provided safety equipment. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with a 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10 : 30 PM. Initial training for 90 days is on the 1st shift from 6 AM to 2 : 30 PM. Our facility is continuously updated, featuring new locker rooms, break rooms, and overall improvements to enhance the working experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WEST CHICAGO, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00 / hr.
