Mainframe z / OS System Programmer

U-Haul is searching for a Mainframe z / OS System Programmer to join our development team! Become part of a stable and continually growing IT organization.

Job Duties :

• Act as support and domain expert for z / OS operating system and system components; provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to z / OS operating system, network, and component software.
• Diagnose z / OS platform system and product issues and follow up with root cause analysis.
• Provide technical guidance to the mainframe development and production support teams on an ad hoc basis.
• Learn new technologies as needs arise.
• Network with industry contacts to supplement knowledge deficiencies.
• Be willing to work remotely with an occasional need to come into the office.
• Be willing to work individually and in team settings.
• Be willing to work after hours and weekends occasionally.
• On rare occasions, be willing to work during vacation for emergencies.
• Be an advocate for U-Haul's business teams (learn processes, terminology, and key contacts).
• Observe data security standards and practices at all times.
