Forklift Operator Opportunity

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading beverage packaging company in Cold Spring, MN. Were seeking candidates for Forklift Operator roles on 12-hour day and night shifts. Hours for these shifts are 5:45 am-6:00pm day and 5:45 pm-6:00am on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. Compensation for these direct hire opportunities ranges between $19.00-$21.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What the Forklift Operator will do:

• Safely operate the equipment as stated by the company's GMPs and Safety protocols
• Assist in the setup and control of the FEFO/FIFO Inventory System to ensure uninterrupted flow of product and materials
• Model loads and paperwork handling best practices
• Train/mentor new hires as assigned by the Supervisors
• Make sure production has the correct packaging for the day
• Keep an accurate count of the finished product
• Verify product is properly labeled with date code, pallet number, state, on hold, etc.
• Submit daily counts to the office at the end of each shift
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
• Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety

What you need to be a Forklift Operator:

• Must have 1 or more years of warehouse and forklift experience in the past 3 years
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift for the entire shift
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces periodically with or without reasonable accommodations
• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
• Comfortable with working in a production and warehouse environment, including forklifts, equipment, and damp floors
• Ability to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers, and visitors
