Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Unarmed Patrol Driver in Long Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your presence and communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, tenants, and staff to address questions, provide directions, and assist as needed.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local authorities when required for incident response and / or emergency situations.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
