The Bottle Picker pulls and prepares items for shipment according to order labels, prepares and loads outbound shipments, and maintains the safety / sanitation / security of the Warehouse environment. He or she meets standard productivity goals daily and appropriately handles all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary, safe, and secure workplace. Specific duties and responsibilities will be assigned according to the assigned workstation.
Qualifications
- Must be18 years or older
- Six months of experience in a similar position is strongly preferred
- Experience in operating an electric pallet jack, forklift, and other power equipment preferred
Responsibilities
Place labels on boxes in the order receivedPull the bottle from the location and verify the exact quantity, size, type of product, and condition of the bottle before placing it in the boxHandle and carry multiple bottles while filling ordersAccurately fill boxes with wine / liquor as they enter the assigned zonePush the box / order down a conveyor to the next zone; the process is repeated throughout the shift.Carry full cases to assigned pick zones to complete the assigned taskAlert management when product inventory is low and needs replenishmentOperate all equipment in a safe and efficient mannerMaintain the facility and equipment in a neat, clean, orderly, and safe mannerKeep appropriate records to guarantee inventory control, rotation of stock, and security are maintainedAssist in maintaining the security of the WarehouseAssist in other zones when necessaryPerform other duties as assignedCompetencies
