Job Description :
Southern Integrated Solutions and Consulting (SISC) is searching for an experienced SCADA Engineer with a specialized focus on Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA systems that support industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Ignition SCADA, a strong background in control systems integration, and the ability to lead projects from concept through commissioning.
Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and deploy Ignition SCADA projects, including screen design, tag configuration, scripting, and database integration.
Collaborate with engineering teams to gather system requirements and translate them into functional SCADA solutions.
Lead commissioning activities, including system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, RTUs, databases, and third-party applications.
Maintain, upgrade, and optimize existing SCADA systems to improve performance and reliability.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership for SCADA-related initiatives.
Qualifications :
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Systems, or related field.
7+ years of experience in SCADA engineering, with at least 3 years working extensively with Ignition.
Hard Skills :
Advanced proficiency in Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform, including Perspective and Vision modules.
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, OPC UA, DNP3, Ethernet / IP, etc.).
Experience with SQL databases and scripting languages (Python preferred).
Familiarity with PLC programming and integration (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, etc.).
Proficiency in industrial networking design and cybersecurity best practices.
Soft Skills :
Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
High efficiency and time management skills.
Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
