Our client, a national private EPC Firm, is hiring a Senior Manager Talent Acquisition for a full-time direct placement opportunity in Houston, TX.
The primary function of this position is to lead recruiting for our client and our client's Nuclear Engineering division. This position will report to the Vice President of Workforce, Planning and Staffing.
Position Responsibilities :
Lead to small teams of recruiting professionals in sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding efforts. The manager will oversee talent search and placement, process improvement, and strategy development.
Implement innovative ways to market job opportunities and both actively and passively source and attract quality candidates. This includes Project Managers, Engineers and Designers (process, mechanical, civil, structural, piping, instrumentation & controls, and electrical disciplines), Project Controls Managers, and Procurement professionals. Build a network of candidates and maintain a database of prospective talent.
Develops and directs the team's work process and methods to ensure that the staffing requirements of the engineering business are being met on time and in accordance with hiring practices as well as with state, federal and local laws.
Manage and facilitate the full life-cycle talent acquisition process through collaboration and partnering with internal (Engineering Directors and Department Managers) and external stakeholders.
Manage third-party staffing agency engagement as needed.
Foster a collaborative team environment and a strong service-oriented culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality driven service to internal customers.
Keeping abreast of developments in the industrial and engineering markets.
Present regular reports to appropriate leadership to communicate key performance indicators, strategic sourcing efforts, and intel on benefits and wage information.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of project and engineering positions in the heavy industry market.
Strong aptitude in sourcing candidates utilizing multiple channels of networking.
Knowledge of the Houston talent market, along with a broader view of US talent
Strong leadership skills in managing a team to drive positive results. This includes communications, setting expectations, and guiding / coaching on best practices.
Ability to collaboratively and effectively work with internal and external stakeholders
Meet deadlines while working under time constraints
Strong computer skills and demonstrated ability with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
Ability to plan and lead recruiting events
Ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working with Engineering & Construction organization
Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
PHR or SHRM-CP
Knowledge of employment laws / compliance
