Primary Purpose

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Exelon’s creative communications team is charged with developing innovative digital and video design materials to support priority initiatives. The Video & Digital Design Specialist supports Exelon’s companywide brand strategy, advertising and integrated marketing communications. This role is directly responsible for the development and execution of high-quality video content with strong editing, advanced motion graphics and design skills, content optimized for social media platforms, and for supporting the continued maintenance of Exelon’s brand hub, digital asset management system and self-service marketing and advertising system. In addition, this position will work with internal and external creative / content teams and channel strategists to produce targeted campaigns that can include traditional and non-traditional advertising.

Primary Duties

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Serves as the creative and production coordinator for video, digital, print and other visual multimedia projects, owning all aspects of video editing, motion graphics, static graphic design, and social media content development. Produces high-quality visual assets ranging from publications and marketing collateral to social-first graphics, GIFs, and animations (70%)

Support Exelon’s enterprise brand strategy, advertising and integrated marketing communications efforts. Includes managing execution of Exelon’s strategic initiative and providing counsel on operating company projects including traditional and non-traditional advertising and digital marketing. (10%)

Support the maintenance of Exelon’s brand hub in collaboration with contributors across the organization; ensuring continual updates of brand guidelines, management of ongoing platform technical enhancements, oversight of self-service employee portal. (10%)

Works with other internal content and creative production teams as well as vendors and agency partners to manage video and design work and deliver cohesive, visually impactful campaigns and multimedia projects that support Exelon’s brand and marketing campaigns and digital platforms (both external and internal). (10%)

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

4-year relevant degree and 4-7 years of communications and / or web management experience. In lieu of a degree, 6-9 years of relevant experience.

Thorough knowledge of video editing and digital design, graphic arts techniques, technologies, art design and layout; demonstrated experience in the use of advanced graphic design hardware and software.

Understanding of importance and execution of video storytelling to advance narratives across digital and marketing channels

Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects, work under tight deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with clients.

Strong interpersonal communication and management skills.

High degree of interpersonal and communications (oral, written, presentation) skills and proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Ability to lead and manage projects independently.

Ability to interact with all levels of staff.

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Thorough knowledge of video editing and digital design, graphic arts techniques, technologies, art design and layout; demonstrated experience in the use of advanced graphic design hardware and software with experience in the Adobe suite.

Demonstrated ability to craft compelling visual narratives, including identifying story opportunities, conducting interviews in a reporter-like capacity, and producing engaging video and graphic content tailored to target audiences.

Extensive experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in visual storytelling, layout, typography, and brand-aligned creative execution across digital and print platforms.

Technical skills : InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite. A bonus would be knowledge of Premiere Pro, Hubspot, Monday.com, and Templafy.

Broad experience in marketing communications or digital strategy.

Experience in project management.
