At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior CNC Machinist to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot computer numerical-controlled (CNC) machines for precision tooling and parts production. This role involves advanced programming, setup, and machining operations, as well as mentoring junior machinists. You will ensure quality standards, maintain equipment, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to achieve production targets.

Job Requirements:
  • Set up and troubleshoot CNC machines, including lathes, vertical mills, and other equipment, to machine parts to exact specifications.
  • Edit CNC programs for dimensional and tooling changes.
  • Interpret and work from complex blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work orders to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform machining operations such as threading, precision boring, facing, turning, grooving, and contouring.
  • Calculate proper speeds, feeds, and tooling based on material type, part configuration, and finish requirements.
  • Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, and vision systems.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with repair activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical or quality issues.
  • Mentor and support lower-level machinists and apprentices, sharing best practices and training on safe machining operations.

2nd Shift 2:30pm-11:00pm

What your background should look like:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal technical training, trade school certification, or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machines in a job shop or production environment.
  • 10 years of experience writing and editing CNC programs.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and shop mathematics.
  • Proficient with G & M codes, CNC program cycles, and feed and speed identification.
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools; experience with CMM or vision systems is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with small features.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
