Purpose :
The purpose of the Receiving lead is to oversee the care of all outpatients that present to the Emergency Service and maintain the workflow regarding triage, doctor exams, treatments, discharges, etc. This person will work concurrently with the Hospital lead, leaning on each other for support.

Description of Duties :
1. Every shift, the Receiving Lead will note the technician filling the following roles on EzyVet :
2. The Receiving Lead will maintain the triage schedule board.
3. The Receiving lead will oversee and ensure the completion of an incoming patient's full triage in order to make sure they are ready to be examined by the DVM.
4. The Receiving Lead will be responsible for informing the ER doctors in which order patients should be seen. When the next doctor is available to take a case, the Receiving Lead will let them know which patient is up next. The Receiving Lead will keep in mind the DVM schedule knowing which doctors are working what shifts and helping to ensure that they can leave on time.
5. The Receiving Lead will oversee and ensure the completion of all ordered diagnostics on all outpatients.
6. The Receiving Lead will help with the smooth admittance of outpatients to the hospital.
7. The Receiving Lead will be in constant communication with the CSRs / ER Referral Coordinators to ensure that clients are updated appropriately and workflow is efficient as a result of all being on the same page.
8. The Receiving Lead will round with the day shift Receiving Lead both before and after their shift to ensure that the transition between shifts is seamless.
9. The Receiving Lead will accurately log any / all controlled substances used throughout the shift.
Anticipated Schedule :
This is a full-time position.
12 Hour Shifts- Sunday / Monday / Tuesday 6a-6p
On-call and holiday rotation required.
Compensation : $22.00 to $28.00 base pay depending on experience level and credential
